Lady Luz Diaz

„Life begins at the end of your comfort zone“

„Life begins at the end of your comfort zone“, ist einer ihrer Wahlsprüche. Dabei hält sie fest: „All in all I am only a practitioner of many different body expression works. Instead of keeping my knowhow only in my mind and maybe on paper I transport and put my knowledge in my own body.“

„Life begins at the end of your comfort zone“

A picture with Bikram and the certificate in her hand are proof that Lady Luz Diaz is a newly trained Bikram Yoga teacher. That was back in the Spring of 2011. Since then, she has been teaching with great passion in Zurich and before that in her hometown of Basel. She took part in the first Yoga championship of Switzerland in Zurich and represented her country of origin Peru. Recently, she travelled to Los Angeles, in order to participate in the world championship there. “Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”, is one of her mottos.

The Peruvian is doing much more than just Bikram Yoga. It’s of great importance to her, that she is able to understand the connections within the body. Therefore, she manages a Pilates studio in Basel, as well. Based on experience, there are lots of advantages in practising both forms of sport. Furthermore, she’s a Laban-Movement-analyst – Rudolf von Laban, who is known for work on the Monte Verità above Ascona, founded a school of the art of movement in Zurich. That Luz Diaz is committed to movement becomes apparent in her engagement as a teacher for Latin dance and as a Zumba instructor. She says: “All in all, I am only a practitioner of many different body expression works. Instead of keeping my know-how only in my mind and maybe on paper, I transport and put my knowledge into my own body.”
